Back To School Special – Financial Planning For Children Series
Financial Planning for Children
Ideas on how to lay a solid ground for your children’s financial future
So, what made me think about writing about financial planning for children? Here in my hometown of Canada, AB, Canada it is the first week of school. I picked my son up from classes yesterday and he was so excited about learning and finally being in Grade One. The only disappointment is that he didn’t learn to read on the first day. As a father of a young boy, excited to learn and wanting to grow up, I want to do everything in my power to help him have a bright future. This is the same desire that many of you have so I decided to write down some ideas about financial planning for children.
The first day of school got me thinking about all the plans I have in place for my children and all the potential financial planning we might do for our children. If money were no object, what would you do the help lay the groundwork for your children’s financial future? Even if your budget did restrict the things you could do, there are probably some financial planning ideas that you could start for your kids that would bear fruit.
